Christian Miller has worked in the wine industry since 1983, primarily in marketing. His industry experience includes restaurant and retail wine sales, work as a consultant and negoçiant, marketing management and market research. He is currently proprietor of Full Glass Research and a founder of WineOpinions.com, where he is responsible for research design and development.
Previously,
Christian was Director of Research for MKF, a leading CPA-Consulting firm in the
California wine industry. There he launched the Wine Trends project, which
calculated California winery sales by price point and varietal, offering the
first detailed look at high end wine sales in the U.S. He also produced the
annual Grape Trends report on California wine acreage and supply by district and
varietal; directed studies of the economic impact of the Washington and Santa
Barbara wine industries; edited and published a study of wine consumer
demographics; and carried out numerous consumer and industry research projects
for wineries, investor and government agencies. Before joining MKF, Christian
was Manager of Marketing Analysis at Sebastiani Vineyards. Previous to that he
worked for Kendall-Jackson.
Christian has worked on brand and category management, numerous consumer research projects, and sales promotion. He is a regular lecturer for the U.C. Davis O.I.V. summer course. He has made numerous presentations to buyers, universities, sales forces and industry groups, and is often quoted in trade publications.
